The foundation „Social Services' Agency " unites the professionals of social work, psychologists and psychotherapists who attract the necessary funding for improvement of social services' system and quality in Latvia through development of various projects. The foundation „Social Services' Agency" (hereafter - Agency) was established in April of 2003.
To implement its goal, the Agency:
- provides Professional psychosocial help to the people who face various difficult situations in life;
- develops Professional practice of psychosocial work in Latvia;
- cooperates with national and local government institutions and non-governmental organisations, as well as other legal entities and individuals in Latvia and abroad;
- organises informative and educational events - seminars and educational programmes;
- organises and directs camps, summer schools, universal programmes for people with various social problems and for specialists working in the social and educational spheres;
- implements researches in social spheres, promoting the improvement of social services;
- provides consultations for access and management of funding from European financial instruments to legal entities and individuals.
The methods for implementation of Agency's goal:
Providing of the consultations, management of groups, organisation of seminars and educational events, development of rehabilitation programmes, implementation of the events dedicated to exchange of experience, organisation of the camps, theatre performances and charity events, involvement of volunteers, etc.
